Yes! There were some freedom oriented communities that gathered in people's homes during the plandemic but that has died down. Mostly I just see people in those communities focused on politicians, though I do know a few people taking action for change, it is still more of a one-off and individual thing. Many, like me, moved away from the city (for obvious reaons), yet in this greater freedom and connection with nature comes less immediate access to connecting with others. That being said, neighbors are much friendlier in the rural areas and eager to help each other, so I'm starting to shift towards trying to connect with people that I can help and that I can learn from...rural neighbors. I have a neighbor that stops and chats when walking her dog (I have no direct neighbors as I'm surrounded by a cattle ranch). she and I are NOT on the same page yet we share a common thread of living remotely..
Such freedom-oriented communities are extremely important. They can provide comfort, support, and friendship, and they can be very effective in terms of activism. But yes, they always die down. So how to change that?
I have thoughts, but I don’t want to taint what you might say first, so if you have any ideas, please let me know….
It's a conundrum. Freedom communities still have a lot of fear around the idea of not paying to the voluntary you-know-what or believe in government and this belief is so strong it halts genuine action. Just doing something is a start...I moved to the country and changed my whole life assuming all those I knew in the freedom communities would be doing the same, but they stayed in the city and kept voting for change....and everything remained the same...meanwhile my life of becoming more self sufficient has been an upheavel and uprooting, very hard but very rewarding...so I think, in a way, we have to be what we want more of and others will begin to do the same. People say to me, I don't know how you do it all by yourself and I say, because someone has to. I've made more mistakes and messes than ever but I've learned we just have to do something in that direction. A local farmer is fighting back after threats of shutting down our farmer's market and people are coming out of the woodwork in support as those sales at the market are a bulk of their income. Local support is SO important for us to thrive through these times....oh and of course, learning to operate in the private and under PMAs... I'm still learning, it takes time for it all to sink into the bones of being and not just the mind.
Your approach is amazing and admirably. I wish you had someone to share your joys and struggles with. Maybe you will meet some cool people in your fight on behalf of the farmers’ market??
I still have to write Monday’s post, and I am still thinking it all through, but it is sort of on this subject.
Did you happen to read when I wrote about how I disagree with the great Mises on the subject of flags, banners, slogans, anthems, etc.? His point is that classical liberals don’t have them, don’t need them, and should not want them. But I think he may be wrong. Having some sort of classical-liberal “nation” with a sense of allegiance to something more than just abstract principles may be the key to holding things together. The principles matter, but why not build an actual “nation” around those principles? There is something in human nature that tends towards feelings of loyalty and group solidarity, so why not sure that for classical-liberal purposes for a change. (Not in the fake way that stupid ‘democracy’ does, but for real.)
I know you already know that that is what I am doing with the DN, since you have been reading and commenting on my stuff. But I think it is important and pertinent to what you said in your post. How do we seek like-minded people? How do we find them? How do we get the support and friendship we need? And how do we hold it all together? What sorts of groups will form organically? What guidance should we give to that process? Is it good to have tribes, do sub-organizational units like that invite conflict? I wish I had firm answers. But some of this we will just need to see for ourselves…
I did read it. Right now I'm more of a voluntaryist...it seems people do come together when times warrant it, but until people can get off the rat race, there is little time and energy to focus on sovereignty, self-sufficiency, self-governance so people just keep going along with it all...and the pot boils. It's truly an individual path but we need others to make it work because just having my tiny llittle homestead with a small number of chickens and ducks is exhausting for one person. I love the Farmer's Markets for that reason. I don't think we can really hold anything together, we can only show up every day and work towards making choices that point us where we want to go instead of against what we don't want. This is also why I like PMA's it's voluntary exchange of business outside fo the public domain, it's learning to reclaim our individual power from tyrannical overlords. And there is a spiritual aspect to this, faith that those meant to find each other, that our own individuation and transformations will help us find those seeking the same way of life. I'll have to put more thought into the nation thing, people like to put faith in something, but groups can still inhibit each from reclaiming their own power relininstead of quishing it to a group.
I am a voluntaryist too. That is why I have been trying to lay out a pathway to a very simple "nation" of voluntaryists. It's not designed to control or inhibit. It's just a way to unite us behind the principles that make us voluntaryists. I think if we do not—if we just remain as atomized individuals—we won't be able to escape the boot of oppression ever. They will always benefit from thrte strength that groups can bring, and we will always be atomized and able to be picked off one by one. I think awareness and consciousness of the principles that make us what we are will create the solidarity we need (without exerting control over each other).
Does the voluntaryist nature of the DN not come through in what I am writing?
Private Member Association, many are operating in the private under a PMA, out of the public domain (like the amish guy they tried to put down and many many others)... Farmer's Market threat coming from the mayor and his Karen operatives.
Your experience with that woman is beautiful and instructive. We do not have to agree with others, nor they with us. We just must respect them according to natural law, and then try to be nice and civil. Because life is much better when people are nice and civil.
(It would also be far easier to not care about being on the same page with people if we did not live in a winner-take-all democracy whose dictates are imposed with violence! Democracy makes us have to care.)
I've cut off all news podcasts since the election (but I still see my Apple news headlines.) The times I've tried to listen to my regular news podcasts, I feel an almost physical allergy. This time away from the news has opened my heart a lot. I'm less stuck in my bubble of superiority and more open to the suffering of all beings.
I think we need to get back to basics of what connects us, our shared humanity. I think we are too far gone in what "truth" is in news or the media to come back to agreement. Basically we need a return to love to unite us again.
I agree so much. I was at the car repair shop and times like this are the only times I hear the mainstream...the news was playing in the lobby, I felt ill in my body and had to go outside and wait, it truly affects the nervous system and people don't realize it until they back away from it for a while. You are right, we've got to get back to the heart of things if we're going to make it.
I’ve started drafting an essay on how addiction to drama is a trauma response. We are basically unhealed people looking to regulate our nervous systems, and our media system has found a way to tap into that addiction.
Great advice! My first response to “trutherism” these days is, “I don’t know… I have no first hand knowledge of that… I will find out more.”
Special thanks for mentioning revocation. There are men and women accomplishing this, but requires all in commitment and a grasp of certain fundamentals.
It is a path of courage and mastering fear. Here is the best of the best as far as I’m concerned.
Thanks! There are different levels of revocation, you can still operate in the public (when needed) and private, though, of course some folks go all in. I'll bookmark your rumble link, thanks for sharing! It's definitely a path of courage and mastering fear, you've got that right!
You know what's funny? I used to take a stance like that saying "the public isn't ready for the truth" but then I realized that with that stance, I'm no different than the people controlling the world. One of the main reasons why "they" are doing what they're doing is because they don't believe the public is smart enough to make their own decisions in their lives. They believe that they are superior and thus should govern over us so that all us stupid citizens have newfound adult parents to tell us what to do and what not to do. In fact, the information about the truth should just be put out there and if people want to look at it, it's their choice. Most of my old friend network would think I was insane for some of the stuff I believe but have they put thousands of hours into researching the stuff and trial and error as I have done? No they have not. Instead they've spent their time watching Netflix and going to bars over and over again, yet claim to know exactly how this world works... For that group, I kind of just let them die off on their own because simply put, we just grew in separate directions and that's ok. I wouldn't force this info on them but it doesn't mean I'm going to stop speaking my truth or doing what I'm doing. My results in life speak for themselves and are proof that knowing the truth can not only help you steer clear of a few nasty scenarios (Covid), but also it makes your life easier and so much more enjoyable. This world is getting more and more sensitive as years go on and it's all by design. Look how strong those older generations were with people like Arthur Miller and Dick Van Dyke. Mental strength seems to be going backwards, but we can stop that anytime we like. It's all about what we subscribe to. I'll be staying subscribed here :D
Mic Drop Comment.... I felt that way at first too and have had similar thoughts and experiences, but you nailed it in the perfect words. Thank You for your humility and wisdom, you are right.
I think one has to understand that sometimes the spigot has to be turned off for a person to regroup. And you never know what that person is going through. Additionally, sometimes these online groups can be cliquey and looking to get off of you vs give and receive. That’s been my experience. I have very sharp discernment of who I let in online. I’m in a few groups that have been very beneficial and above all everyone respects each others boundaries, individuality and sovereignty. I’ve also just been more involved with my community IRL. I love Qi Gong by the way, saw you mention that. I appreciate your passion and heart in this article.
I have such a love of truth that "Truthers" sharing fake news frustrates me and I've written and made videos about how truthers sharing lies are poisoning themselves. I also wrote about how they can take on a "savior" role (which you "liked) but I'll share it for others if they're interested: https://www.thedramaofitall.com/p/the-saviors-in-the-truther-movement
I also got pushback for writing against "Truthers." I don't mind loving the truth (we all should). I don't like when the hypocrites give truthers a bad reputation.
Agree completely! It's wacky out there...people call themselves truthers but often just spew what another truther said was true. Thanks for sharing your post, definitely aligned!
Completely agree. For a while Covid kicked off Mass Psychosis, then the floodgates opened, information was gushing and they couldn’t stop the “information”. Now we are grappling with the aftermath of a global totalitarian chokehold in countries that are in general part of Western Civilization. These countries were targeted where most deaths occurred due in large part to restrictions, mandates and forced medical protocol. Money laundering wars broke out, over a million young men have been butchered needlessly and the Biden regime doesn’t care who dies, who’s massively injured and who are victims of human trafficking and killer drugs. Main Stream Media is outraged when an unwashed two year old is wandering aimlessly on the beach but not when over 300,000 children go missing. We are alarmed when we see needless violent acts yet ignore the effect it’s having on society, further loneliness and isolation. We encourage transitioning our children and ignore the early deaths and cries of children transitioned realizing “they” made a mistake, meanwhile institutions admit they’re making billions. We live in a culture that punishes the heroes and protects the violent criminals. We vote in someone who promises to turn things around yet is being called “controlled opposition”, part of the Totalitarian Cartel and those voting him in are labeled “Hopiums”. We use our language to describe events, causes and outcomes pinpointing this Global phenomenon and the very entities these words describe use these very same words, phrases and conclusions to describe us causing us to move ever closer to another Mass Formation Psychosis. Your article helps us realize we need spiritual sustenance, helps us focus on eternal truths and guides us toward soul nourishing actions. Even with such sound advice, we need reminding every day.
We, who are all part of the culture, need to use our expressions whether by words, art or even our daily expressions towards spiritual truths, beauty and ultimately back toward sanity. We have allowed ourselves to be derailed and years of derailment have caught up to us and have given permission to the forces intent on controlling and doing harm to take over. We must, with all our might push back on the lies and psychopathy.
Sure. Doll, you must work in a great bar where you have so many yackety humpty dumpiest thinking words mean anything they mean then to. The truth about Truthers are about the propagation of truth, like o’bombyas birth certificate and the dancing Israelites. They wanted everyone to see those things. They think every thing should be public. If you are hearing people say that you can’t handle the truth then you are on the wrong propaganda set.
I somehow sent that post before I was finished and couldn't figure out how to edit it. So I agree that parts are not clear. Sorry about that.
Still, the absurdity of your claim should be self-evident to you, it is all in the name. Truthers are for publicizing truth, even if some of the stuff they publicize is questionable, they still want people to hear about it. It is self-contradictory to say truthers try to withhold the truth. That's what's nonsense. And If I am the only one pointing out such blatant errors of yours then it only means that nobody pays much attention to you.
“Seek like-minded community (even if that’s only available online for now)”
—This is the subject that occupies my thoughts at the moment. I want people to be able to find each other. To connect.

What is a PMA? (product marketing alliance?)
Who is threatening the farmers’ market?
Private Member Association, many are operating in the private under a PMA, out of the public domain (like the amish guy they tried to put down and many many others)... Farmer's Market threat coming from the mayor and his Karen operatives.
Where is the farm market being held now?

Indeed, indeed! When tyranny steps in it flips everything on its head.

Welcome. :)

Very good article! Everything is a process. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Thank you. A process indeed. I think people forget that in our fast paced easy button shortcut society. :)

Thank you MissLadyK, I hear you, I have to remind myself too as I get swept up some days and have to get myself back in line. Language is key!

No truther ever said that.
I've heard it at least a thousand times, they say it all the time
