This is a really important post. Integrity has definitely taken a beating over the years and some have forgotten about it entirely. It's not just important, it's the fabric for keeping relationships together. Mutual respect for fellow humans is what creates a strong community. As someone who used to be late for everything, it told me that I didn't value myself. That's where I needed to start. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves why we're behaving in this way first so we can get to the real root of the issue. Thanks for writing about this, humanity needs a HUGE reminder on this one
It has always fascinated me how people value money over time. When the world is awash with fiat currency and if you run out of it you can always get more of it. But when you've run out of time that's it. There is no getting it back. It's the only meaningful currency we have and you are so right to identify this. How we spend our time says more about us than how we spend our money! I had no money today, well not much, but I spent a lovely afternoon sat on the Atlantic coast meditating with the sound of the crashing waves on the rocks. It was time doing nothing, producing nothing, creating nothing, saying nothing, writing nothing. Yet it was time so very well spent! 😉
A fascinating perspective, Angela. I have been working on a 'time' piece as well - a quasi-followup on my 24-hour-clock drop from months ago - but I really enjoyed where you took this essay. Much food for thought 🫡

Thanks Nick. I appreciate you taking "time" to read and comment. :)

It really does say so much. Time is the forgotten currency that is always ignored. Sounds like a lovely afternoon!

Well done! ☺️
Thanks Stone. I look forward to reading your take on time too!
Time, vibe, sacred, integrity — thank you 🙏
