Oh I could easily add a story or 2,3 etc. And Arabian Mau are slightly different from the average cat. They’ve roamed the Arabian peninsula for about a 1,000 years and evolved naturally.

But I love dogs as well, and birds 🙂

I will have to look up Arabian Mau...Cats are proof magic is real...not that we need proof, but there it is...in the poof, the floof! :)

I’ve got 2 Arabian Mau rescues, one of which an Arabian Omani Mau. They’ve got the Omani or Gordon’s Wildcat DNA in their genes. Different build but similar characters.

They both are incredibly strong, especially back legs. Needing to run and climb sand dunes. Paws are oval shaped, not round.

My older Mau can scale a 6ft fence in one jump! He’s slim. The younger, Omani

Mau has a stocky build, same strength.

They need intellectual stimulation or they’d turn destructive. But mine are good as gold.

Angela, everything you say about cats is true, true, true. I was a cat person for most of my life, until I married a woman highly allergic to felines. She was also allergic to canines.

What to do? We got a bird, first Petey, a lutino cockatiel, who sadly died of kidney failure after only a couple of years with us. It was heart-breaking. Very much so. So, we waited a year before getting Arya the Cockatiel, a 95-g avian dinosaur who has all the qualities of a cat and who could fly. And fly he does.

Needless to say, I love Arya and his personality; and I am now a fully committed bird person. 🕊🦜

There is no coincidence the connection between birds and cats. Some cats like to chase mice, they like to get down low and slink around....other cats like to leap, jump, climb and chase birds. I am developing a love of birds too. I don't know much about cockatiel's (sounds interesting...literally) but I saw a Blue Jay yesterday that was so beautiful it hardly seemed real.

One can be both a cat person and a bird person. I love all animals.

Agreed. I just wish my chicken's were more snuggly....but yes! Animals remind us of our humanity.......ironically.

We're doing some crazy vibing right now, Angela! I just made a video for a new song yesterday that revolved around ... CATS! Love this: "Cats have personalities as unique to them as each individual human, they are their own true self and we can learn a lot from this fact alone as we un-mask ourselves and find the courage to let more of our true nature come forth into view."
