‘The sweet nectar of being is always hiding in plain sight if we’re willing to seek it’- I love that😍

I was just picking some honeysuckles the other day and smelling them and actually teared up a bit on the trail cause it made me realize I was disconnected from my youth..ya know that part of me that could laugh from my body. I made a little bouquet and it felt healing.🙂

The first signs of summer arriving were seeing the honeysuckles, I would take one and delicately pull the bottom, and the drop of fragrance would stay with me the entire day. Love this!

This piece is as sweet as honeysuckle. I, too, was just reminiscing on the honeysuckle that used to grow in my grandparents' backyard, and how us kids would pull the bottom out to lick the drop of nectar. The itching of mosquito bites, dirty feet from being barefoot in the woods, and the smell of rain on hot concrete and earth, will always remind me of being a kid in the summer. <3

Thanks Rikki, what an equally sweet comment.....love it....I used to be covered in mud half the time and I'm slowly getting back to that way of being again... :)

The smell of freshly cut grass always reminds me of summer. I love the smell and the pleasant memories it raises to the surface of my mind.

I love that, different smells with different seasons....I don't know why we don't talk about these smells more often <3

You reminded me of the honeysuckle I once had on my balcony. Lonicera x heckrottii. Early morning and mid-late evening the scent was gorgeous.

Thank you for that.
