"If you know the voyage will be on water, you should take time to learn to swim." Indeed.
I often think of what will happen in the cities when, say, an EMP knocks out the power grid and communications satellites. Oh MAN! do I wanna be some place else. In fact, I am. It's semi-rural where I live, and I haven't been sitting around wishing something bad won't happen. I know it probably will, so I have firewood, water and rations for a while, at least. Meanwhile, the cities will ignite and burn to the ground. The French have a saying for it, I'm sure.
Ah thank you, I have lived a many of life in one lifetime. Yes, indeed, I lived without water and electricity almost 6 weeks last year and I was prepared for it but learned a lot of things I could do better.
People, like plants, grow when they're stressed. It's actually the only path to growth. Yet, too much(stress) too fast will be deadly.
So, when things are "good" and the sun shines, theirs plenty of food and water, and the breeze is gentle, it's a good idea to induce some stress to your life in a manner that you can "control"
That way, when the Storm hits, you've got the strength to ride it out.
One foot in order, one foot in chaos. This is my favourite edge to tiptoe along. 🔥
Yes! Agreed, great way to put it! :)

You are too young to be so wise.

Can't let too many Sunny Days make you weak.
Love the post! ❤️
1000% well said! <3
I'm trying hard to ignore my wrong use of "their" in that comment 😆
Thanks again for giving me something thoughtful to read over coffee.
you sound like me, it's ok, let it be "their" LOL (see what I did there)
No danger to me with too many sunny days. Living with partner going into dementia
My prayer for you is that you find those sunny days, if even a glimpse, during these trying times.
That's a rough road ❤️
