Angela, poignant and heartfelt post which lightened my own grief with recent loss of familial love. Thank you for sharing.

How touching and a testimony to the love of animals. Sad that she is gone, wonderful, the time you had together. 🌀

Two things I hated, but learning to accept,

loss (death) and change.

Sorry for your loss. 😢

Yes, it's true. I've buried so many wild animals too or fed them to the vultures. It makes you grateful to be alive when you look it square in the face.

Sadly, I lost my dad when I was 14, my high school sweetheart husband early too. It's been some "practice" for me ---- guess I needed that in some way, but I don't think it's EVER easy.

It's never easy, the timing always seem strangly poignant. I wish none of us had to practice this but I like talking about it because it's so glossed over in our society.

Creator bless and keep you and your happy, heathy and forever in the graces of all animals who have the heart to come to your loving hands.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, Angela. This is such a lovely tribute to your precious Zeeza. Sounds like she will live on, not only in your memories but in the children’s book she inspired. That’s so sweet!

We raised exotic ducks when I was young and they are quite special birds. Very social, clever and often very funny. I know the heartbreak of losing them. May your heart find peace and comfort in the coming weeks. Blessings and love to you.
