Picked a couple flowers
Cooked a couple eggs
Sat down at the table
pulled the chair to its edge
Nourished by the beauty
Nourished by the yolk
Nothing more to desire
Nothing more to invoke
Truth’s presence is here
Divinity expressed, unprovoked
Notes delivered in morning crows
Leaves adorned, yet fall in tow
messages by hens scribble
Life born in golden middles
Moat of thoughts, bespoke
moments drip inside the throat
and nature shows us how it’s done
petals open while carrying thorns
Eggs simmer in alchemical forlorn
Vitality awakens, simplicity at stake
Does anyone notice before it all fades away?
The world is so easily distracted by that which matters not…
enveloped into riddles without answers, only knots
Can you see what really matters, if just for today?
Can you let the noise fade, can you look away?
Can you stop and ask yourself, does this bear fruit?
Am I wasting all my time, is my energy someone else’s loot?
The answers aren’t in the screens or the televisions
Nor in the marketing of manufactured division
But in Divine provision there’s a truth ever present
it sits at every table and sets every precedent
it is carried from hand to mouth, mouth to hand
for a plate is not just a plate, it’s an invitation for carrying care
and the table is not just a table, it’s an initiation to prepare
And the chair is not just a chair, it’s an opportunity to share
A couple flowers A couple eggs
abundance outstretched
behind the hedge
inside the nest
cracked open hearts
bellies filled with gold
bleeding from deeds
knowing
beauty is the seed
all around us
and inside
The table’s set
waiting for you to arrive.
With love, Angela
You hit me with so many rights, by the end I was beggin' for a left. Gorgeous...just simply gorgeous!
Beautiful and true ...
The world is so easily distracted by that which matters not…
enveloped into riddles without answers, only knots
