I’ve touched on this before, but in light of the recent hullabaloo of deception plaguing the interwebs, I think it’s worth revisiting.
Let’s look at the archetype of the Villain in our current times.
The Not-A-Villain Villain:
Part of deepening self-awareness and waking up to the charade of our realm brings with it a stigma of being a villain. If you’re like me, pointing out the obvious during the scamdemic of 2020 and refusing to participate in the propaganda brought with it scathing looks-words-behaviors from both strangers and friends. Being refused entry into buildings for breathing air, as we’re intended to do, was a strange phenomenon in what felt like walking onto the set of Stranger Things. It’s difficult to be figuratively “burned at the stake” by the masses who censored and shunned those who chose differently than them and are now scapegoating by saying things like “why didn’t you warn us?” --- WE DID, TIRELESSLY, AND WERE IGNORED, LAUGHED AT, ATTACKED, EXILED!
The Villain’s Villain:
The Villain’s Villain is the individual who knows something is amiss but does the dirty work of the real villain by burying one’s head in the sand, turning a blind eye or justifying behaviors by hiding behind a uniform, a title, or the phrase, “just doing my job.” This includes those who make justifications for one thing by supporting the outcome, such as convincing yourself vaccines aren’t “that bad” because you love your child despite any difficulties that have arisen that were likely influenced, caused by, and/or correlated with vaccine damage, but unwilling to see how so many have been negatively affected. Admitting our errors moves us into healing instead of denial…there is much we ALL didn’t know once, but now do.
This is the same as employers carrying out the agenda but pretending to care about their “employees” or the “environment,” when it’s really about perception…looking charitable, receiving kickbacks, or appealing to the masses over taking a stand and doing what’s right. It’s pretty clear most corporations do this. They will buddy up to the money makers but the minute you fall in status or sales, you’re quickly put out to pasture. They will pretend to care about the environment by supporting the “not-so-green agenda” because it keeps up appearances of being a team player, only they aren’t playing for the team of the people. They will tell you everyone is like family, then fire you without cause…because in reality you are just a number. The amount of discrimination and pressure for those who didn’t choose to be injected with the poison by those same corporations (and the people in them), now want to quietly sweep it all under the rug and pretend it didn’t happen.
I’m not sure who the best-worst-villain is…the doctor who injected the vaccines or corporations who tried to force people to take them to keep their job? The pharmaceutical company that created them or the government operatives that sold it to the masses as safe and effective?
It did happen and we won’t forget it. You can do the billing for evil if you choose, but making people choose between their livelihood and their life is not ok.
Wolf in Sheep’s clothing Villain:
This one is tricky because people can be lumped into categories such as “shill” or similar accusations when they tell partial truths but aren’t aligned on EVERY topic with someone. This includes the fear mongering doom and gloom types that are no different in some regards to the mainstream whose focus is to sell the fear. Sometimes people are shills, but we have to stop putting everyone in an extreme box when everything they say doesn’t align with our beliefs, or truth. Not everyone is a shill, some people with ill intent still let good messages come through even if they don’t mean too, or aren’t aware of it…AND some folks play to the lowest common denominator through sensationalism and negative headlines in order get ahead. It’s a smorgasbord. You can always change the channel, just remember that.
The real wolf in sheep’s clothing is the idol everyone keeps making excuses for, the jovial, the charming, the beautiful, the popular, the altruistic, the one being pushed on the people, the one who plays the emotional plea game to reel you in so that you SEE them, but you don’t HEAR them.
Glinda the Good Witch was a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, a true Villain, and the Wicked Witch was the real hero of the story…here’s why:
- Glinda used Dorothy to commit murder by “tornado” (kind of like government uses pharma, planned parenthood, banker’s wars…and weather modification)
- Glinda lied to Dorothy about her own inherent power, she didn’t need to go to Oz, but Glinda withheld information (kind of like the talking heads of media, government and entertainment)
- Glinda is a thief, taking the ruby slippers that belonged to the “Wicked Witch” as a family heirloom (kind of like our entire system set up to steal via fines, taxes, etc.)
- Glinda drugged Dorothy with poppy without her consent (kind of like the jabs, toxins in the food and many other forms of manipulation carried out on the masses without consent)
- Glinda shows up in a beautiful “façade” knowing this made her more believable and likeable, she was fake, masked…. while the “Wicked Witch” showed up as her true self, in righteous anger, and in defense of her life and property.
- Glinda knew Oz was an illusion, that there was a controller behind the curtain, but her aim was the power and control herself, not actually helping Dorothy.
Despite all of that, even with Dorothy’s naivety and ignorance, she still found her way back home…and we can too….but Dorothy must look at her part in the evil, in what she didn’t yet know along the yellow brick road….a road paved, not with the element of Gold, but with the intention of doing good and returning to those she loved, with the inner-gold that assisted her along the way.
And she can’t return the slippers because the Wicked Witch sacrificed herself for doing what was right, for those she loved, for sovereignty, and with courage…. but she can see the symbolic representation of the ruby red was a call to the treasures of the heart and not that which appeals to outer appearances. The ruby slippers were a lure and Glinda, in her fancy gown, was playing to Dorothy’s youth and undeveloped consciousness.
Recognizing the real villain in a story requires one to look behind what is being shown. Maybe the people who tried so hard to send warnings about the “shots” heard around the world, were willing to sacrifice their reputation, jobs, and relationships out of a deeper love..
Recognizing the real villain in a story requires one to HEAR what is being said behind appearances, behind manipulative and clever language that “sounds good” or is what you WANT to hear, and an ability to face the fact that sometimes the person we like is not who they pretend to be.
We all just need the nerve, the love, the wisdom, to see things through in these trying times and you already have everything you need with you right now.
At the same time, I can assure you, even if you don’t know it, you are a villain in someone’s story…that doesn’t necessarily make it true…but it might be, at least through their eyes.
Yes, we’re all human, but we’ve got to start discerning better because, like Glinda, so many put politicians, celebrities and influencers on a pedestal that is nothing more than a veil to appear a certain way while hiding true intent…. even if they don’t realize it themselves because sometimes (and I do mean “sometimes,” they are also deceived). Sometimes these individuals use language that, while tricky, actually tells the truth of their intent, but because people like them so much they make excuses for them, put words in their mouth and/or deny the reality because it hurts more than they want to admit….that their idol might not be what they thought….or hoped…that there is no hero.
Maybe it’s time to stop looking for a hero, after all, we know they “supply” the masses with one to keep their story playing out just the way they want.
Maybe it’s time we just show up every day in our own lives with better discernment. more authenticity and a willingness to recognize that Villains aren’t always what we think they are, nor how they are portrayed in both movies and real life.
The inversion lives inside us all, the dark parts of ourselves have a rightful place, just like the light, but when in their negative shadow it becomes tainted, misconstrued, misunderstood, projected outwardly, and anything but revelatory to its actuality.
When have you wrongly been portrayed as a villain?
When were you blamed for something that wasn’t true?
Are you willing to look at the times you might have been a wolf in sheep’s clothing to get something you wanted, even on the tiniest scale in comparison to the examples above?
Are you a good witch or a bad witch? Or are you a little bit of both? Can you spot the real villain in yourself…if so, you’ll better discern when someone else has bad intentions or is misled. The key is the ability to see what you are capable of, both good and bad, as this will assist you through the challenges of this world that are inevitable. Recognizing that capable opens the door to right choice and action, thus lightening the load to bear as we walk through the experiences of being human.
Stop listening to fools…how many fairytales have to reveal the truth for you to see the connection, from The Wizard of Oz to Little Red Riding Hood, Cruella, or Pinnocchio…the reality is right under your nose….literally…if you can smell either the bullshit…or the sweet honesty.
Stop trusting people you don’t personally know, this never ends well. The more you are likely to trust a “PERSONALITY” the less you trust YOURSELF. The more you trust yourself, the easier it becomes to see through the falsehood of appearances, spot the villain, and stop misplacing faith.
Far too often the person painted as the villain is:
- Just someone we don’t like or whose opinion we don’t like
- Someone the media says is bad…humans are easily swayed
- The person telling the truth, in integrity, that makes us uncomfortable
- The person who reveals their imperfectness and isn’t trying to be something they aren’t
- One who stands by their word
Far too often the person painted as the good guy or hero is:
- A glorified talking head
- An actor who doesn’t mind lying for $$$
- Someone who deceives others, and themselves, out of integrity, comfortable lies
- The person who tries to appear perfect, always reads a script, sounds like they are saying things that are correct-good-right...but is actually using persuasive language, leading language, or manipulative marketing verbiage including subliminals/repetition/NLP/etc.…(requiring a keen ear to hear what’s really being said).
- One who never keeps their promises
Keep asking yourself questions, the answers will show themselves.
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if subliminals and persuasion was used for good…but good doesn’t need to manipulate and shouldn’t…then it wouldn’t be good.
True power comes from mastering yourself, not needing to control others. No doubt, bribery and greed can turn the best intentioned soul into some kind of villain.
Can you find compassion for the villain in you…and the ones we falsely cast blame upon, as well as those that have actually committed harm to other living beings? It’s difficult, but I wonder what must have happened to someone for them to abandon all their natural instincts for life, for light, for good and fall into the pits of degeneracy and depravity.
Can you see beyond the label and not get lost in the hysteria or hype of these modern day witch hunts?
No one is perfect, we all can look back into our past and see how we were fools, liars, or out of integrity, even though we likely didn’t mean to hurt anyone…but every day is a new day to choose differently. If we can do better, then someone else can too. If we can find grace to hold ourselves accountable, then maybe others can too.
The villain, Miranda Priestly, in The Devil Wears Prada is venerated by Andy as she lowers the mask and, for a moment, reveals her humanness hiding behind the illusion of power and prestige. This film shows us how real villains are made in this world, hardened, bought, painfully donning a caricature created by the conditioning and coldness projected by the collective unconscious who put their faith in corporations and costumes worn by those claiming to be in command. Human nature gets stuffed down into deadlines and somedays, while deals are made with the devil that remove us from that which really matters in the ticking tides of time.
We don’t mend the divide by pointing fingers in the wrong direction, nor calling the real villains heroes. We mend the divide by recognizing where we were bamboozled and untying the knot that bound us to the wrong path.
There is remedy inside duality, a plight of inner harmony, not an escape from the earthly plane, but reconciling the inner knowing with the ways of the world…and knowing that no matter how another perceives you…it does not affect you when you know who you are and where you stand.
There’s no place like home is a remembrance that you can close your eyes and travel anywhere you want to go, all while your heels, the Soles/Souls of your feet are grounded in the here and now.….May we exalt the inner villain, right our wrongs and be NOT deceived by that which tickles our fancy and hopeful ideals.
It’s interesting, the devil really is in the details…. poison candy wrapped in pretty painted packaging, it taste good for a moment but the consequences come later. The villain isn’t always a monster, sometimes it’s the label placed upon the truth-teller in a world of comfortable lies and other times the decisions of your own making….sometimes it’s the face hiding behind a tailored blue suit making promises they never intend to keep and other times it’s the well-intended populace lured into a deep sleep.
Some villains seem to be prime examples of pure evil like the character’s, Bill Gates or Klaus Schwab, but it’s the people’s hunger for a hero that keeps the villains alive and on stage….if only they were always so easy to spot….sometimes they are, if you are willing to see.
If you’re going to be labeled as a villain for doing what’s right, you might as well own it and have fun …and let others think what they will, for your deeds will redeem you, but the true villains, well, their deeds will haunt them.
Happy Reality, may your discernment grow sharper than the finest blade,
Angela
A fascinating exploration, Angela; more food-for-thought than a Thanksgiving meal.
