The Cost of Awakening

No one tells you that awakening feels like dying.

You Die to the Lie: The version of you that believed in the story cannot survive.

You Die to the World: The people around you, still clinging to the fairy tale, look at you as though you’re the one who’s broken.

You Die to Yourself: The ego, built on the foundation of the lie, cracks under the weight of the truth.

The fairy tale was a lie, but it was also a shelter. Now, without it, you are exposed, vulnerable, raw.

The tears will come again. They always do. But now, when they rise, you will let them fall—not as a flood to drown you, but as a river to carry you forward.

The fairy tale is a lie, yes. But the life waiting beyond it? That is the truest story you will ever tell.
