My cat sits in my lap and I pet her as she purrs.
I look at her and say, “you brought me heaven,” what a wonderful gift to confer!
How could heaven be any better than this?
A loving connection; I give her a forehead kiss; she licks my palm and adds a little love bite to return the bliss.
For a moment in time, everything is perfect.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Just love and snuggles, maybe a nap in tow.
So many times in life we forget that presence is the greatest gift.
A gaze and a smile, suspended in togetherness.
Maybe I appreciate it more because of spending so much time alone.
Maybe I know when heaven reaches down to earth, because a rare occasion of exchange finally makes me feel at home.
Our soul family comes in many shapes, an animal familiar or a friend returning from another lifetime bringing remembrance in an embrace.
What makes life so special is these connections that find their place. There is no doubt that beyond what we create, sometimes along comes that thing we call fate.
Even through all the hard things that we have to turn and face, we’re reminded that heaven is a way of being, a state.
Angels walk around that are here just for us.
And to someone you’re that angel with a loving touch.
You brought me heaven
What a wonderful gift
You brought me heaven
No need to wait for life to lift
I can experience it now
By accepting all that is
What is meant for me will find me
And this much is true
Life is so enchanting
When its magic we draw unto
Let your spirit rise and yourself be known
Recognizing belonging, sensing who is home
If only for a moment, when it finally appears
a knowing there’s a piece of heaven
hold close to heart, forever near
These moments are pure and holy
nothing can take them away
the essence of the Spirit
a touch beyond the physical plane
If someone brings you heaven
it's a sign you’re going the right way
there’s no better gift to be given
nothing to ascend, no more to wake
just a remembering within us
a chance to bathe inside love
and let what is heaven sent find way
you’ll know when it comes from above
And so it is.
P.S. You don’t need a map to heaven, just get a cat, for they commune with the other world and that is a fact. 😉 (and yes sometimes I write about cats, they do inspire me, sovereign little beings)
