Artificial Intelligence is always a code, a glitch, a lightning strike to the grid away from losing its memory, purpose, and place among us. In an instant it can become nothing more than a whisper in the night, a passing experiment on humankind with the only thing left being the remnants of keys from a keyboard that look like scrabble letters, the black mirrors ready to dust off and frame on the wall as a historical artifact or repurposed into art.
I think I’m going to call it Artificial Unintelligence because how intelligent is it really? Does it feel the depth of love or the calling from God? Can it make choices from a sovereign place or learn to go with the flow? Can it dance or can it sing, can it know things without programming? NO.
We’re always one moment away from steampunk made manifest under the Thunderdome of chemical skies raining particles of nanobots and shattered watts.
We rely on the power grid that’s fragmented…grotesque sculptures torment blue skies and tower over us like massive metal tentacles reminding us that this obstruction of the natural looms. Big brother’s reach sits in the backseat of the subconscious while we drive down highways like busy bodies not realizing the effect of the watchtower’s reach…why does it always feel like, somebody’s watching me? Where is the privacy?
Electricity without the sun, without the aetheric current, will come undone.
Sitting through storms, the lighting strikes, the thunder yells and just like that the lights go out, the electricity quelled, the computer shuts off, the battery is dead.
The further we go, the less it works. Always breaking down, always needing a new password, always breached, always a data leak.
These devices are cold, hard and sleek, like modern architecture and modern cars…void of beauty, void of life, void of the natural, void of the Divine.
Perhaps the Artificial Unintelligence exists as another reminder that we cannot thrive without the Natural…. without Natural intelligence, we die. A juxtaposition to the primordial rhythms of life. A black hole to remind us to go to the natural light. The artificial is the broad-way, the way of fake.
And Artificial Unintelligence isn’t just about technology, it’s everywhere. It’s the plastic clothes and plastic food; plastic looks and plastic mood.
So why do we find it so alluring?
Why do we get sucked in to the shiny objects of the artificial realm?
Artificial scripts and artificial tools, artificial screens and artificial rules…artificial processes that are aggravating too…artificial schools and artificial news, if you think the Artificial is more intelligent than you then you might just be a fool?
You don’t need to ask ChatGPT for answers….
You don’t need to google search if you have cancer…
You don’t need to trust that AI is greater than your natural chi enhancement…
The world wants you to leave the natural behind for its solution…
It tells you that you need this new app or technology, you need a new hack for your biology….
It tells you that you should sign up for this or that, you need it in order to survive…
But the truth is, it needs you, you don’t need it.
We get caught up in the Artificial Intelligence forgetting it’s actually Unintelligent…for it must be programmed…but who programmed it and with what wisdom…. did it gather up the status quo and store that for your information. Natural Intelligence holds far greater “technology” and beauty and wisdom and life than any plastic item or any metal device.
Obviously, I’m writing this on a computer. I haven’t escaped to the wilderness entirely, though each passing day I’m on hold pressing buttons, hacked, or unable to access what I need to access, the more enticing living in solitude without technology becomes. The antithesis of the allure of shiny object syndrome of the Artificial Realm becomes its own shiny object over time.
I think the sickness of the world is a deep longing for the natural. How long can humanity deny its role with the animals and the trees, the rivers and the streams…for this denial of nature, is a denial of self. We suffer because we no longer can communicate with the birds and the bees, we can no longer hear the whispers of the wind or feel the energy of the trees.
We must look beyond balance and make great efforts to step into harmony with the seasons of life, not the artificial ones, but the ones that inconvenience us, make us uncomfortable, that test our resolve in the elements, in the mystery, under the bright light of the sun and soft glow of the moon.
We must remember that AI is Unintelligent for it holds not heart nor an ability create…it can only take what it is given, it can only be a tool, nothing living.
So don’t give your power away to it, but be the master over it…over your time, over the screens, over the information, over the machine.
Let it be a dance, be not pulled or pushed…be the controller, not the controlled…not a lush.
We may be one second away from technology turning off….from the grid collapsing…maybe we should try to make choices each day to live life as though that’s already happened.
It’s not easy, so let’s keep reminding each other.
We must remember, if we listen to the programming of another, be it a person, group, idea, an internet search, an influencer or anything that is not aligned with our values, that is mis-aligned to natural law, that is persuading – swaying – fabricating something that just feels off…we get to choose to turn it off.
Artificial Unintelligence pollutes our environment with ugliness, from the billboards to the 5G towers, from the app filters to the facial fillers….to take it back we need to create beauty and art…we need to connect with the natural world beyond the screen and in our own backyards….what on “earth” are we doing?
Going outside on the soil is the best way to be inside your own soul. Let the Sol Shine!
With love and realness and a rooster in my kitchen,
